This week it has been Creative Week in school. In Nursery we have been finding out about Rio in Brazil .  We have looked at photographs of Sugar Loaf Mountain and Copacabana beach. We have been making costumes and props for our carnival on Friday.

We looked at the costumes that people wear to the  world famous Rio Carnival. We have made hats and tabards in the colours of the Brazilian Flag.

We have made shakers to make the sound of the drums at the carnival. We used empty bottles and put in beads to make the sounds. More beads make  a different sound to using just a few.

We have also discovered that the Olympic games are being held in Rio this summer and made a special flag for the parade.
