Y3 have started a new unit in their writing lessons – a tale of fear. This unit is based around the picture book Wolves in the Walls by Neil Gaiman.

This week Y3 have used a story map and actions to learn each of the five parts to this story.

1. Opening
MC is afraid of something and is worried about it.

2. Build up

MC starts to do something

3. Problem

What MC fears actually happens
4. Resolution

MC overcomes the fear.
5. Ending

MC has conquered the fear and looks to the future.
