On Friday 25th January the girls football team continued their league campaign with an excellent 2-0 victory over league leaders Marsh Hill. The girls also got to meet the captain of the Ladies from the Aston Villa Football Club who gave the team some tickets to go and watch the team play at Villa Park for their fantastic performance. Keep up the good work girls!

Round 2 of the Wood Lane League
St Clement’s took a very young team to play the second round of the Wood Lane League to play St Vincent’s and St Patricks. Unfortunately the results did not go their way but they did play with 100% effort and created lots of scoring opportunities which if they had converted then the scores would have been very different. Well Done!
St Clement’s very own footballing star!
Football Season Has Started
Monday 24th September we kicked off our football season at wood Lane. First up was St. Teresa’s where we narrowly missed out in a high scoring game finishing 4-3 to the hosts. Next up was St Edmunds which was much more successful holding on to a 1-0 lead. Everyone played extremely well and had a great time!

Sports day.
Last week, Year 2 attended sports day at the @hubs.
The weather was fantastic so we had to make sure we had lots of sun cream on and drank lots of water.
There were lots of activities that the children were able to try such as football, dodgeball, netball, rounders and a blow up assault cause. The children showed themselves to be very athletic and skilled at many of the sports. They particularly shined in football where we has some World Cup worthy hat tricks along with some fantastic celebrations!
In addition, the children were very supportive of each other and showed great sportsmanship by congratulating all of the winners and taking losing gracefully. Well done Year 2!
Reception Sports Morning
Reception’s Sports Morning!
This morning Reception had a fantastic time in the MUGA with Mr Burton. They did a running race, egg and spoon race, throwing and catching and an obstacle course. They had so much fun and all received a gold medal for taking part. Thank you to parents and carers for being a great audience, it really meant a lot to the children. And a big thank you to Mr Burton for organising!
