In science year 5 have been learning about forces. We have been looking at air resistance and gravity.

We investigated different materials to see which one would make a good parachute. We decided that the carpet would be too heavy.

In the end we decided to make our parachutes out of tissue paper. Securing a figure with 4 pieces of string.

Air resistance slowed down our parachutes so our figure so it could land safely.
