Week beginning 26th September

It’s been another busy week in Nursery!

The children have been lucky enough to have some new toys to play with.  The garage and the dolls house have been popular.

On Monday the children discovered that the play dough had gone sticky so Mrs Ali helped them to make some more.  The found out lots about mixing, textures and temperature.

Some of the children are becoming very independent.  We have all learned a clever way to put on our coats and these boys remembered to put on wellies when splashing in the water!

I wonder what next week will bring?

Settling in to Nursery

All of the Nursery children have now started and have settled in well to their new class.

It has been lovely to see old friendships resumed and new friendships develop over the week.

We have been working hard on establishing routines.  Tidying up is tricky but we are getting better!

Our story this week has been The Gingerbread Man.  We enjoyed acting out the story with stick puppets.

We are looking forward to another busy week next week.

Nursery’s First Week

The children in Nursery have had a fantastic first week.  They have all enjoyed getting to know their classroom, teachers and each other.

The children have been making the most of the sunshine outside by playing in the water, building dens and playing with the hoops and tyres.

Inside the role play area has been a big hit and ‘Our Wonderful Work’ display is already full of some fantastic art work.  The sand and play dough areas have been popular too.

We are looking forward to another busy week next week.
