Busy Nursery!

I have been really impressed with how well the Nursery children have adapted to school life. They are now coming in confidently, waving goodbye to their parents and then getting on with being busy!
The children are accessing all the resources and asking for help when they need it. It has been lovely to see friendships developing and lots of children being kind and caring.
Here are a few of the things we have been busy doing:

Reception’s fun-filled week

This week, Reception have continued to learn our school rules and routines. Reception have been learning all about kindness this week as we have made flowers, butterflies, leaves and lots more to go on our display. The children had some lovely ideas of ways they can be kind and have shown this in at school.
Also, this Friday we went to our first school assembly!

Take a look at our photos from the week:

Year 4 – R.E

This term Year 4 are learning about Judaism in their religious education lessons. They have learnt how Jews show their special promise to god in their home and why the Mezuzah is important to Jewish people.

This week Year 4 have been acting out the story of Moses and the Ten Commandments. They have taken on the role of the main characters in the story using expression and actions to retell the main events.

Take a look at our talented actors in action!

Capacity in Year 1

This week, Year 1 are learning about capacity. Students have learnt through activities with teachers and using their knowledge and vocabulary in their play. Students have explored the difference between empty and full, as well as nearly full or empty. They have also been challenged to find half full and half empty as well.
